Ronit Cohen Quoted in CDR Article Discussing Latest Litigation Funding Industry Report
Ronit Cohen was recently asked by CDR (Commercial Dispute Resolution) to give her thoughts on the latest litigation finance market report, published annually by Westfleet Advisor.
The report, per CDR, “showed that annual deal volumes (capital commitments to new deals) stood at USD 2.3 billion in 2024, down from USD 2.7 billion in 2023, and nearly USD 1 billion down from the USD 3.2 billion in 2022.”
Discussing Arcadia Finance’s approach, Ronit told CDR that “Arcadia's risk tolerance has not decreased based on the current climate. ‘Rather, it has changed - based on the lessons [our team] have learned from many years of experience,’ Cohen said, adding: ‘We found that in 2023-2024, with rising interest rates, new money was not flowing as quickly and easily into the market. We believe it was more a response to financial market conditions more broadly than to litigation funding markets specifically. As we continue to talk to potential capital investors in 2025, anecdotally, we are seeing a healthy interest in investing in the industry.’ ”
